What a general inspection does not cover

OAR 812-008-0204 lists what an Oregon inspector is not required to report on: life expectancy of a component, causes of the need for repair, methods or costs of correction, code compliance, advisability of purchase, pests, cosmetic items, underground items, items not permanently installed, and detached structures.

Where this inspection type exists as a separate engagement, it is usually because one of those exclusions applies.

This page is editorial scaffolding. The type list is proposed and has not been traced to a citable source, so no field here renders as a verified fact. Cost ranges are deliberately absent for the same reason.
