CORRECTED. NOT BCD-administered. Wasco has run its own department since Ordinance 19-002, effective 2019-07-01, covering structural, mechanical, plumbing and electrical with its own Building Official, deputy, two inspectors and permit technicians. It also SERVES THE CITY OF THE DALLES. A still-live Wasco County legacy page states that the State of Oregon Building Codes Division operates the building codes program on behalf of Wasco, Sherman, Gilliam and Wheeler Counties. That sentence is WRONG for Wasco and Gilliam and still dominates search results. It is correct only for Sherman and Wheeler.
